New Years week in Arizona

The Monday after Christmas we made the drive to Mesa, Arizona. We were ready to spend a week just relaxing and playing with family. And we did just that. We did not have too busy of a schedule and enjoyed our time there. We had a couple of nice weather days, but then it turned pretty cool and was even cooler than what we're used to in northern California at this time of year.

Derek enjoying some time on his computer outside while the weather's nice. He didn't mind when it turned cooler, he just stayed inside and enjoyed all the college football bowl games.

Katelyn loved playing in the sandbox

The kids were pleasantly surprised at the new toy at Grandpa's--a zip line! Adam loved it and went on it as often as he could

Laurel and Samantha were eventually convinced to try it too and they loved it!

Since all the Taylor's were in town this week, Grandma wanted to have a large family picture. And it truly is getting large with about 30 grandchildren involved. We met in the gym of a church building since it was raining outside. Adam took the opportunity to wrestle with his boy cousins, since his sisters rarely want to wrestle.

One of many attempts at a grandchildren picture with grandma and grandpa. Grandpa and Grandma gave all the grandkids matching jackets for Christmas (girls red, boys blue).

We enjoyed New Years eve at the Taylors, which includes pizza and homemade donuts (so good) and plenty of game playing all night. I'm not sure that I made it to midnight, but many of our big children did. We had a fun week with everyone!
